Microwave chemical reactor
Absorption section of the system: The reaction vessel (usually made of polytetrafluoroethylene, glass or quartz, which do not absorb microwaves and thus avoid self-heating) is placed inside the resonator. The polar molecules in the reaction system (such as reactants, hydroxyl groups in the solvent, amino groups, etc., which are polar groups) will rapidly rotate and vibrate in response to the high-frequency changes in the electric field direction (vibrating 2.45 billion times per second) within the microwave field. The intense friction and collisions between molecules will convert "microwave energy" into "thermal energy", causing the temperature of the reaction system to increase rapidly within a short period of time (for example, from room temperature to 100-200°C within 1-5 minutes, the specific heating rate depends on the polarity of the system and the microwave power).
